With an array of woodlands, beaches, coastal paths and more, you can immerse yourself in the quiet rural lifestyle of unspoilt nature that Devon is renowned for. Glebe Cottage is perfect for the ideal rural break or a fully-fledged holiday. This rustic cottage tucked away in Woodleigh, South Devon, leaves a feeling of peaceful seclusion, and yet is accessible to many local towns and amenities. This quirky Grade II listed property has been carefully restored, retaining the traditional stonewalls, exposed ceiling beams, inglenook fireplaces and low door frames, so remember – Duck or Grouse!

Arriving at Glebe Cottage, guests have one off-road parking space that leads around to the rear entrance and garden.

Paved steps lead up to an elevated rear garden that has been well landscaped with an array of many beautiful choices of shrubs, trees and flowers. Home to many creatures of nature, this lawned garden offers hours of exploring fun for all generations of guests and dogs. An al-fresco bistro dining set and beautifully thatched summer house complete the garden.

Glebe Cottage is accessed via two points; the front door or the most popular rear kitchen door. Upon entry through the rear door, you are welcomed into the both spacious and wonderfully light country kitchen. Tastefully designed with vibrant wall tiles, wooden countertops and slate floors, this functional kitchen is a great social hub for all the family to get involved. The kitchen is fitted with a comprehensive range of wall and base units, integrated appliances including, Belfast sink, dishwasher, full size fridge freezer, Redfrye Range oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and lovely breakfast table, seating 4 guests.

There is access to a useful boot/utility room with a washing machine, hanging and drying space, an ironing board and iron and corner shower. This functional room just off the kitchen is fantastic for cleaning off sandy toes, muddy dogs and wellies before emerging into the rest of the carpeted house.

A step leads from the kitchen into the spacious dining room. A 4-guest dining table and placemat rack resides by the window. At the other end, an inglenook fireplace with a log burner and reading chair create a cosy corner for relaxation.

To the right of the house, a door from the dining room leads into the well-maintained original stone walled entrance hall. A powder room inclusive of a traditional high-level toilet and washbasin are found opposite the front door entrance.

Back to the dining room, the lounge entrance opens into this cosy country style living space featuring the stone wall inglenook fireplace with log burner, exposed wooden beams and vintage furniture. Seating arrangements across the sofa and armchairs create a restful snug for guests to wind down, connect to Wifi and watch the monitor sized TV.

Stairs from the lounge lead to the eaves of the cottage, which occupies the landing, family bathroom and accommodation. At the end of the landing, the family bathroom resides, featuring a blue seaside themed décor with a bath and overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Adjacent to the bathroom, the classic twin bedroom presents a spacious room with two full sized single beds and a wardrobe for ample storage.  The master bedroom is a glorious quirky rustic room inclusive of a double bed, bedside tables, window seating and vanity dresser.
